The Skills Hidden in the Lost Pyramid

12 sealed chambers, solved in any order. Kids decide where to start, when to switch and when to ask for help: that's how independent thinkers are made.

Code-Breaking

Star letters and secret words turn the alphabet into a code kids can't wait to crack.

Mental Maths

Addition and subtraction guard the chamber doors, so kids practise numbers because they want to get out, not because they're told to.

Spatial Reasoning

Patterns, shapes, sun and shadows train the visual thinking behind maths, science and engineering.

Smart Decisions

Only 3 hints per explorer. Kids learn to push on alone, choose when to ask, and aim higher for the Master Star Keeper title.

The story

Only minds that shine like stars may leave this place.

You are young explorers on your first real dig. Your brushes uncover a stone carved with stars, the sand gives way, and you slide into a hidden chamber. BOOM! Blue lights flicker along the walls and a calm voice echoes through the dark. Twelve chambers lie ahead, each guarded by an Egyptian god or creature, each hiding a secret word. Put their star letters together to speak the phrase that opens the Star Door, before the torches go out.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick any chamber

The 12 chambers can be solved in any order. Each one gives a secret word.

  2. 2

    Track your words

Write every word on its page and on the Explorer Tracker. One letter in each word is a gold star letter.

  3. 3

    Use hints wisely

Stuck? Every explorer gets only 3 hints, printed upside down so nobody peeks by accident.

  4. 4

    Open the Star Door

Copy the 12 star letters onto the Star Door. 10 words are enough to guess the phrase; all 12 make you a Master Star Keeper.

Questions from Parents

How do I get the game?

Right after checkout you receive an email with your download link. Download the PDF, print it at home or at a copy shop, and play the same day. Nothing is shipped.

Can I print it more than once?

Yes. Print it as many times as you like for your own family, for siblings or for a second playthrough. Please don't share or resell the file.

Do I need a colour printer?

Colour gives the best experience because the illustrations are part of the puzzles. Print single-sided on standard A4 paper.

Which paper size?

The PDF is A4. It also prints on US Letter: choose "Fit to page", unless the printing tips above ask for Actual size. At actual size, Letter paper is slightly shorter than A4, so the very top and bottom edges may be trimmed.

What language is it in?

All games are written in English, with short texts designed for ages 8–12. Younger players can team up with a grown-up who reads along.

What if my child gets stuck?

Every game includes the answers for grown-ups, kept at the back so nobody peeks by accident. Ninja Academy, The Lost Pyramid, Starhollow Academy and Wanderwood also include a page of gentle hints.
