The Ghost-Hunter Skills Your Kids Will Build

Today every answer is one tap away. At Hollow Hill Manor kids have to earn it: 12 haunted rooms, 22 moon shards to choose from and only 11 that are real.

Sharp Observation

Every answer hides in the picture. Kids learn to slow down, count, compare and spot the one detail that everyone else misses.

Logic & Deduction

Each answer must match the tag of one moon shard, and the house is full of fakes. Kids learn to check their reasoning before they cut.

Numbers & Patterns

Counting, sequences and simple sums open many of the haunted rooms, so maths turns into the key to the next door.

Spatial Thinking

In the attic the eleven shards must fit together to rebuild the moon. Kids learn to turn, match and assemble shapes.

The story

Twelve rooms. Eleven moon shards. One twist.

It is Halloween. Suddenly the moon cracks like glass and goes out, and eleven silver shards fall onto Hollow Hill Manor. The gate creaks open and a tiny ghost butler bows. "I am Mr Adlezirg," he whispers. "Only you can bring the moon back before midnight."

How it works

  1. 1

    Read the story

Every room opens with a short scene and a clear task. Watch out: something is always lurking.

  2. 2

    Search the picture

Every answer is hidden in the illustration. Count, compare and look closely.

  3. 3

    Find your moon shard

Your answer is the tag of one shard on the Moon Kit page. Cut out only that one. The house is full of fake shards!

  4. 4

    Rebuild the moon

In the attic, glue the eleven shards together. If one does not fit, check that answer again. The moon will show you who stole it.

Questions from Parents

How do I get the game?

Right after checkout you receive an email with your download link. Download the PDF, print it at home or at a copy shop, and play the same day. Nothing is shipped.

Can I print it more than once?

Yes. Print it as many times as you like for your own family, for siblings or for a second playthrough. Please don't share or resell the file.

Do I need a colour printer?

Colour gives the best experience because the illustrations are part of the puzzles. Print single-sided on standard A4 paper.

Which paper size?

The PDF is A4. It also prints on US Letter: choose "Fit to page", unless the printing tips above ask for Actual size. At actual size, Letter paper is slightly shorter than A4, so the very top and bottom edges may be trimmed.

What language is it in?

All games are written in English, with short texts designed for ages 8–12. Younger players can team up with a grown-up who reads along.

What if my child gets stuck?

Hollow Hill Manor has three hints for every puzzle, plus the answers for grown-ups at the very back, so nobody peeks by accident.
